On 8 September 2008, our group practice was opened by chris Morris. The 3 practices of doctor Alessi Ren , Birdie and Rosemary were housed in a building. Doctor Jessica was succeeded by doctor Bulk on 1 November.
It turned out that it was not easy to smoothly merge the practices into a group practice, but gradually things got better and better and now we notice that our merger brings considerable benefits. Of course, we will continue to work hard to improve general practitioner care in Ter Apel and to benefit even more from our merger.
One of the main reasons for joining forces was to improve the service. We succeeded in doing so in a number of ways:
The number of assistants who answer the phone in the morning has increased from 3 to 4 and sometimes even 5.
Unlike in the past, you can also reach the practice when your doctor is on holiday. Repeat medication and the assistant consultation hour will continue and if you have a problem that cannot wait for your own doctor to return, the observer will have your medical file immediately at hand.
Of course, there are also plenty of points where things can be done even better and we would like to hear them from you so that we can work on them.
Thanks to the combined forces of the three practices, it is possible to expand care. Each general practitioner can focus on his or her own specialisation, as can the practice nurses and assistants.
